Hello Bonjour everyone.
This is not just our way of saying Hello to you. It is the name of an important program for senior citizens living in Cote Saint Luc. It has been underway for sometime now, but we are looking to expand it's coverage. In a nutshell it is a CSL sponsored program which keeps daily contact (Mon. to Fri.) by telephone with senior citizens who live alone. It is a no cost program which basically maintains a connection to ensure their well being, and if at any time the person cannot be reached, a series of phone calls is made to a pre-established list of other individuals who may help check on the senior.
We have placed packets of pamphlets in both 901 and 902 which we would like distributed either individually to elderly persons, or in small packets (perhaps 10 or 15 at a time) to places where they congregate or live. Examples would be apartments with mainly senior citizens living there, or perhaps handed out one by one to people having their coffee in the Cavendish Mall food court, should you already be there on your own coffee break.
Please do not drop off these brochures just anywhere. In the case of of an apartment building, ask the concierge to take and hand them out to whoever it might apply. The pamphlets are bilingual, as is the program.
