We are deeply saddened to announce that one of our volunteers, Linda Turner, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Linda first joined vCOP in 2007 and was an enthusiastic member of the organization. Several years later, Linda reluctantly resigned from vCOP due to medical reasons.
But that was not the end of Linda's contribution to vCOP. In April 2017, with her health greatly improved, Linda once again wanted to "give back" to the community. With her training completed, Linda eagerly resumed patrolling -this time, with her life partner and patrol partner, Allan Plotnick. Linda loved being a vCOP, and was always available to patrol
when the need was greatest. She will be
dearly missed by her fellow vCOPs and many friends.
Like everyone else who volunteers with vCOP, you could clearly see how very proud she was to wear the vCOP uniform and be the "eyes and ears" for the Cote Saint-Luc community. On behalf of the vCOP supervisors and membership, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Linda's family and friends.
