For many years, Archie Kwiatt was a fixture at the corner of
Cavendish and Kildare as the city’s beloved crossing guard. Sadly, Archie
passed away this past year and there has been no one to help people young and
old across this busy intersection. Until a new crossing guard is found, we have
been asked to help.
If you like working with people and enjoy the fresh air, this
might be perfect for you. For now, we are looking for someone to be at this
intersection weekdays from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM and from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The
city is also looking to hire a new crossing guard, which is a paid part-time
