Change Your vCOP Calendar Time Zone

It was necessary to change the time zone setting on our vCOP calendar. To ensure that the time and date of your shift will be correctly shown on the calendar, please adjust your calendar time zone settings as follows (Don't worry, it's easy!):

  1. Login to the "Patrol Calendar" (As usual, you may use the link provided on the left hand side of the Patroller blog).
  2. At the bottom of the calendar page, you will see Current.User:  your name.
    Click on your name.
  3. Scroll down to the 3rd section,  "Change your time zone:" Click on the arrow in the drop down box. Using your mouse, scroll down and click on -5 hours...

  4. Click on the "Change Time Zone" button.
  5. Go to the bottom of the page and click "Back to Calendar" NOTE: It's important to click on this link. After you click on this link, your scheduled times should now be correct. You will now notice that  "Time offset: -5 hours" appears next to Current.User:  your name.

Why do you need to do this? The server for our calendar system is in Europe which is 5 hours ahead of us. This resulted in the day of the month being incorrectly shown for any vCOP who wanted to book their own late night patrol. By making the above change, your late night patrols shifts will be listed on the correct date.
