A new initiative for vCOP On Saturday (November 3rd.) we will have the chance to work side by side with SIM (the Montreal Fire Department) in a blitz to get all residents to change their smoke detector batteries coinciding with the change to Eastern Standard Time (fall back one hour).
Between 08:00 and 16:00 hrs. we are being asked for the very first time to go door to door canvassing as many residences as possible to remind everyone of the importance of keeping their detectors functional year round.
We need as many volunteers as possible for this one day event, so call your patrol buddies and give us a few hours. Please contact Senior Supervisor Lewis Cohen at lewis.m.cohen@gmail.com to sign up for whatever hours you have to offer on this date.
